Rob Edwards along with O'Neil are two of the early names in the frame to replace the former manager as manager of Wolves.
The previous coach was dismissed on the weekend following the team's 10-match without a victory beginning to the top-flight campaign.
And Edwards and O'Neil - both of who have historic links to the team - are part of the names to be evaluated by the club leadership.
