Rob Edwards and O'Neil Included in Wolves Managerial Contenders

Rob Edwards along with O'Neil are two of the early names in the frame to replace the former manager as manager of Wolves.

The previous coach was dismissed on the weekend following the team's 10-match without a victory beginning to the top-flight campaign.

And Edwards and O'Neil - both of who have historic links to the team - are part of the names to be evaluated by the club leadership.

The manager is presently at Middlesbrough, which would pose a potential hurdle to his appointment at Wolves' stadium.

Nevertheless the former Luton Town head coach - who played over a century of games for the club during his playing career - is said to be a leading candidate for the position.

The mid-career manager is reportedly enjoys backing from the club board as they start the process of appointing a new manager.

Gary O'Neil is also appearing as a surprise candidate, even though he would be a surprising appointment given he was released by Wolves in the previous winter.

The former West Ham midfielder is currently unemployed which means the club would not need to provide any compensation.
