British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople announced on late Wednesday. The athlete was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
The sports star had been under observation while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.
“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two dear friends.”
His release from the hospital comes as the boxing community offered its support for the champion in the following the devastating accident.
